Choosing the right photograph
Choosing a photograph
I draw exclusively from photographs. These allow me to capture the true-likeness, individual colourings and unique personality of your pet.
A clear, good quality image of your chosen subject is all I need to get started. To choose the best photo to send me, select one that is:
Well-lit: show me your pet as clearly as you can, revealing colours, shades and markings.
Not blurred: sharp, focussed images, especially those of the eyes, give me the finest details that result in the best drawings.
Close-up: show off your pet by keeping the camera close to them, with no obstructions.
True-to-life: photograph your animal’s typical pose, or the quirky way they stand, to capture them as they truly are.
If you’re not sure which is the right photo to use, share your images with me. I’ll take a look and let you know if I can work with them to draw the portrait.
